(and Revenue) in Mind

Suzanne Norman & Gina Lamar

Email marketing is a cost-effective way—especially in a recession—for marketers
to establish valuable, interactive relationships with their customers and prospects. But spam, phishing, and overcrowded inboxes are making it hard for marketers to get their emails read. This workshop helps marketers develop successful email strategies while making the most of their budgets. You’ll learn how to craft a winning brand experience for your email subscribers, resulting in increased brand loyalty and engagement, increased site traffic and conversions, and improved communications with leads and prospects.
SuzanneNorman
Email marketing experts, Suzanne Norman and Gina LaMar, both from Emma, will use creative email examples to highlight best practices, all designed to help you make the most of your email campaign’s preview pane, images, layout, subject line, style, tone and more. You'll leave with everything you need to send email campaigns that attract, engage and inspire your audience.
We will cover:

• Creative, Design & Format - Making your Emails Relevant to Recipients
• Testing, QA and Performance Improvement Strategies
• Understanding and Applying Email MetricsGinaLamar
• Improving Results Through Segmentation & Personalization
• Dealing With Anti-Spam Filters - Improving Email Delivery Rates
• Participant Email Diagnosis and Q&A

This workshop will be of benefit to companies of all sizes. Smaller companies will learn how the tools of the email trade can save staff time & money, and how to build a reputation as a permission-based email marketer and grow an email list of folks who know and love you (in a healthy way). Larger companies will benefit from these as well as learn how to put together an email strategy with all the right staffers at the table and learn more advanced tips for segmentation, personalization and html design.

LUNCHEON PRESENTATION
Email Marketing 2010: Five Trends That Are Shaping Email Marketing Around The World
Kevin Mabley
Senior Vice President
Epsilon Strategic Services

Ken Mabley

This eye-opening analysis of the competitive environment, industry benchmarks as well as global behavior will empower email marketers to address the critical opportunities of optimization and reveal how to maximize ROI. A well-planned strategy incorporates acquisitions, deliverability, interest generation, personalization, segmentation, conversion efficiency, and cross-sell and up-sell to connect with customers throughout the marketing lifecycle. As marketers develop successful programs they face challenges such as spam, legislation and authentication.

Based in New York, Kevin Mabley, Epsilon’s email expert and Senior Vice President of Strategic and Analytic Consulting, will provide the framework for making Email a leading channel of your marketing strategy. Kevin manages a large team of consultants working with clients such as Pepsi, Purina, New York & Company, Target and more. This presentation is based on an original global survey by ROI Research, “Global Consumer Email Trends for the Multichannel Marketer.”

Kevin will talk about the 5 Key trends from the survey and discuss its implications for the audience:

5 Key Trends:
1. Email is evolving to new devices.
2. Email is replacing other mediums for bills, statements, sales reps
and promotional DM.
3. The new definition of spam includes irrelevance and contact saturation.
4. Relevance, personalization, and timing drive results.
5. Measurement is complicated, and extends well-beyond the inbox.
