The
Professional Development Series:
Colorado State University, in collaboration with the RMDMA,
offers a certificate program to train direct marketing professionals
in the essentials of direct marketing as well as in the most
profitable direct marketing trends and technology. Students
participating in these classes should have a general business
and direct marketing background.
The program
consists of three courses, each meeting one night a week for
ten weeks (total of 90 contact hours). Upon successful completion
of the three courses, you will be eligible to sit for the
certification exam administered by the RMDMA to earn the CDM
designation. If you are not interested in pursuing the certification,
you are welcome to take any or all of the courses that suit
your specific needs.

1 – The Principles of Direct Marketing, Course JT

This 2 credit course provides an overview of the guiding principles
of direct marketing by examining, in detail, three core elements—data,
offer, and creative. Interactive discussions, case studies,
and hands-on projects facilitate retention through application.

Explore the ins and outs of creative techniques in direct
marketing—and learn how to make a significant impact
on your bottom line. Discover what works and what doesn’t
in the world of copy, color, printing, and the ever-important
offer.

the bookseller of your choice.

information following). There is an additional $75.00 charge
payable to RMDMA for testing and certification. There
are parking options available for students. Please ask about
parking when placing your registration. There is a $10
building pass required to access the building - request this

PAYMENT:
Payment
can be made in the form of check, money order, or charge (Visa,
MasterCard, Discover, American Express). In cases where companies
pay for employee education, direct billing may be made to
the company. Billing information for your company or payment
in full is required at the time of registration. In all cases,
the learner is responsible for the cost of the course.
WITHDRAWAL/CANCELLATION:
5 business days
CSU
honors written requests for withdrawals received five days
before the start of the first class session. A $100 processing
fee may be charged.
CSU
reserves the right to cancel courses. In the event of a cancellation,
registrants will be notified immediately and all fees will
be returned in full. Please allow two to three weeks for the
processing of all refunds.
