Henry Wurst, Inc. acquires Intelligent Marketing Solutions, Inc.

Henry Wurst, Inc., a national leader in full service Marketing Communication solutions has acquired Kansas City-based Intelligent Marketing Solutions, Inc. (IMS) and a number of its key personnel.

Founded in 1982, IMS provides solutions to the direct marketing industry including data processing services and direct marketing programs including creative services, targeted list acquisition, multi-format printing, print personalization (digital, laser and inkjet), mailing services and campaign tracking.  “In addition to adding additional capabilities in data-related services to our company, I am thrilled at the prospect of such a talented group of people joining the Henry Wurst, Inc. team,” said HWI President Mark Hanf.  “These folks are truly experts in direct marketing.”

Medlin brings 30 years of marketing management experience to the HWI leadership team. Prior to founding IMS, he was a computer programmer and system analysis for Butler Manufacturing Company in Kansas City.  His marketplace innovations include: first in the market to offer carrier route pre-sorting; first to utilize digital printing for commercial use; first to package training for internal marketing programs; and first to introduce a proven six-step production quality check-list.
