June 2000 Print's Regional Design Annual 2000

In June of 2000, I received a letter in the mail from Print Magazine. For those of you who might not be familiar with this publication, Print magazine is one of the premier graphic design magazines in the United States and around the world. Every year they have a competition to showcase some of the best images in the design field. The 2 images that will appear in the Annual are attached to this e-mail. I am very excited to make it into this publication.

I would like to share parts of the letter with you.

Dear Regional Annual Winner,

I'm very pleased to inform you that one or more of the pieces you submitted has been selected to appear in PRINT'S REGIONAL DESIGN ANNUAL 2000. Your work will appear in the section devoted to your region of the country.

As a Regional Annual winner, your pieces will appear in the September issue. You will also receive Certificates of Design Excellence for those involved in the creation of the winning entry.

...we received nearly 32,000 individual entries for the 2000 Regional Annual from almost every state. The process of selection in all regions of the country was as stringent as ever, and, as usual, good work had to be left out for lack of space. We feel that the work we chose is first-rate, and that it represents the best design, illustration, and photography being produced throughout the US.
